High Dependency Transfers
SNP Medical offer Intra-hospital or Inter-hospital transport of critically-ill patients from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a significant area of patient care that requires precise control and management. The SNP Medical ambulance crews experience, technical know-how and training prepare them for any challenges that might arise. We also understand the necessities of critically-ill patients such as the requirement to be safely secured and continuously monitored.
We do not advocate high-speed journeys unless they are strictly indispensable to the patient’s care, and we deploy the use of blue-lights and sirens only when it aids a progressive journey, in conditions of traffic congestion and in situations where the patient’s condition demands it.
Our ICU transport vehicles are completely equipped with ventilators, insulating blankets, basic life support and monitoring equipment.

I would like to thank the SNP staff for their help with my 91 year old aunt when she needed transferring from one nursing home to another, in a hurry, on a Friday afternoon. Understandably I was initially told there were no ambulances available because they were all scheduled for jobs, but then the supervisor went out of his way to help us, and re-routed an ambulance to help us out. The ambulance picked her up within the hour. Amazing. We were very grateful because sadly my aunt died four days later - but in a more comfortable, peaceful place.
